Rodeo in Jackson Hole

It started with a girl singing the national anthem who really could not sing. However the people who'd come to watch didn't seem to pay attention. Kids were hopping up and down, giddy, unable to wait. I don't know what to think of this.
It's peculiar and somehow cool that real cowboys still exist. They appear to take care of their animals. Even women and children participate. It doubtless requires a lot of practice and dedication to learn to ride a crazy horse or bull. I sincerely respect their skills on the other hand it seems kind of retarded spending your time trying not to fall some crazy animal's back. But who knows, maybe it's even more stupid to earn a living sitting infront of a soulless machine... Posted by Picasa
